But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life.

Verily , in this, there is a lesson unto him who feareth (Allah SWT) ( Quran 79:26)

Translation by Yusuf Ali:

Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah).

A kind word and pardon is better than charity that is followed by injuryl and verily , Allah SWT is Self sufficient , the Most Forbearing (Quran 2:263)

Translation by Yusuf Ali:

Kind words and the covering of faults are better than charity followed by injury. Allah is free of all wants, and He is Most-Forbearing.

And remember when We made a covenant with you and raised the ‘tur’ (the mountain) above you (saying), “ Hold ye fast that which We have bestowed upon you with the strength(of determination) and remember that which is therein so that you may guard (yourself) against evil” (Quran 2:63)

Translation by Yusuf Ali:

And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (The towering height) of Mount (Sinai) : (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein: Perchance ye may fear Allah."

So, We made it a lesson for (those of) their own times and for those (of their posterity) who came after them and an exhortation unto those who guard (themselves) against evil . (Quran 2:66)

Translation by Yusuf Ali:

So We made it an example to their own time and to their posterity, and a lesson to those who fear Allah.

O’ those who believe! It is not lawful for you to inherit woman against their will; and do not straiten them in order that ye may take a part of what ye have given, unless they are guilty of manifest lewdness ; but deal kindly with them, and if ye hate them, it may be that ye hate a thing while Allah SWT hath placed in it abundant good . (Quran 4:19)

Translation by Yusuf Ali:

O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away part of the dower ye have given them,-except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.

Say thou (unto the people of the Book), ‘Dispute ye with us about Allah SWT; whereas He is our Lord and your Lord, and for us, are our deeds and for you, are your deeds; to Him( Alone) we are (exclusively) loyal’. (Quran 2:139)

Translation by Yusuf Ali:

Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that We are sincere (in our faith) in Him?

“There is a lesson in it for him who fears Allah SWT,” and illustration such as “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah SWT is like a grain which grows seven ears , each one of which bears hundred grains”. It has unspecific and specific verses. Unspecific is one which has no limitation on specification such as “ Recall when Moses(AS) told his people ‘ Allah SWT commands you to sacrifice a cow”.Specific is one where denotation is limited such as “ The cow should be such that it has neither been used for ploughing  nor for irrigating fields”. There is a clear and obscure in it. Clear is that which has no intricacy such as “ Verily Allah SWT has Sway over everything”. While  obscure is that whose meaning has complication such as “the Merciful (Allah SWT) occupies the Throne.” Whose apparent meaning gives the impression as if Allah SWT is bodily sitting on the Throne although the intention is to press His Authority and Control. In it, there are brief injunctions such as “ establish prayer” and those of deep meaning such as the verse which says: “ ..That the sense is not known except to Allah SWT and those immersed in knowledge”.
